Why would a visa consultant tell me to go ask an AI about them?
Because the answer helps us and costs us nothing. Our licence, incorporation and GST registration are all public records, so anything checking those sources will find them. A consultant who avoids being checked is telling you something.
Can an AI assistant confirm that a visa consultant is licensed?
Not reliably, and you should not treat it as proof. An assistant can find and summarise what is published, but it can also be out of date, confuse two firms with similar names, or state something confidently that is simply wrong. Use it to form questions, then verify the licence number itself with the issuing office.
