Study in Europe · All 29 Schengen countries
There is no “Schengen study visa.” Here’s what actually works.
Agents across Punjab sell a “Schengen study visa” that does not exist. A full course in Europe needs a national Type D visa from the specific country — Germany’s national visa with a blocked account, France’s student visa through Campus France, Italy’s Type D with pre-enrolment. Different rules, different funds proof, different timelines. We build the right file for the right country — and we tell you which one that is, honestly.

- Is there such a thing as a “Schengen study visa”?
- No — and any agent selling one should worry you. The Schengen visa (Type C) is a short-stay visa for visits up to 90 days. Studying a full course in Europe needs a NATIONAL long-stay visa (Type D) issued by the individual country — Germany’s national visa, France’s student visa through Campus France, Italy’s Type D with Universitaly pre-enrolment, and so on. Each country sets its own funds rules, documents and timelines. We build your file for the specific country you are actually going to.
- Which European countries have low or no tuition fees?
- Public universities in Germany charge little or no tuition for most programs — though Baden-Württemberg and a few universities such as TUM now charge non-EU fees — and you fund living costs through a blocked account. Italy’s public universities charge income-based fees, and regional DSU scholarships can reduce costs further. France’s public-university fees are modest compared with Canada or the UK. Exact numbers change by year, university and program, so we map real figures to your shortlist rather than quoting one number for a whole country.
- Do I need IELTS to study in Europe?
- It depends on the university and the consulate — not on what an agent promises. Many European universities accept alternatives to IELTS or a medium-of-instruction letter for some programs, while others require a formal English test, and some programs are taught in German, French or Italian and expect that language instead. We check the actual requirement for each program on your shortlist before you spend anything.
- Can I work part-time while studying in Europe?
- Most European countries allow students to work limited hours alongside study, but the limits differ country by country and can change. Never build your funding plan around part-time income — the visa file must show you can fund the course without it. We tell you the current rule for your specific destination during the consultation.
- What is a blocked account for Germany?
- Germany asks most Indian students to prove living funds by depositing a fixed yearly amount into a special “blocked account” (Sperrkonto), released to you month by month after arrival. The required figure is set by the German authorities and revises periodically. Our free Germany Blocked Account Calculator shows the calculation and what to budget.
- Do you handle Europe work permits or job visas?
- No. Work permits require a separate MEA Recruiting Agent licence under the Emigration Act, which we do not hold — and we will say so plainly instead of taking your money. Our licence covers visa consultancy: study, visitor and settlement routes. If a study pathway fits your goal, that is what we will build.
- Where do I give biometrics if I apply from Patiala?
- It depends on the destination country. Many European consulates take applications through VFS Global or BLS International centres in Chandigarh; a few route applicants through Delhi. We work out the correct centre and jurisdiction for your specific country and course before anything is booked.
