Canada PR · 2026 rules

Canada PR now depends on your profession. Find your draw, then call us.

There has been no general Express Entry draw since April 2024. Invitations now go by job category, by province, or to people already in Canada. So the first question is not “what is my score?” but “is there a draw for my job?” Pick your profession below. Each page shows the real 2026 numbers, the licence you will need after PR, and the mistakes that cost Indian applicants a year.

Questions we answer on the phone every day

  • Because IRCC stopped general draws in April 2024. Since then invitations go by category — healthcare, STEM, trades, education, French — or by provincial nomination, or to people already working in Canada. A doctor and an accountant with the same score have different chances, because one has a category draw and the other does not.

  • It changes with each round. On 25 June 2026 the healthcare round invited people at CRS 475 and above. The trades round on 2 April 2026 went to 477. The French round on 19 August 2026 went to 382. Rounds for people already in Canada were above 510 in August 2026. Use our free CRS calculator, then call us with your number.

  • No, but the route is different. A provincial nomination adds 600 points and provinces will admit 91,500 nominees in 2026. Learning French to the required level opens the French category. Both take planning. Call us before you give up or before you pay anyone for a job offer.

  • No, and nobody in India can legally sell you one. Job offers, LMIAs and work permits need a separate MEA licence we do not hold. Job-offer points were also removed from the CRS in March 2025. We file the PR application itself.

  • ₹89,999 all-in with 18% GST, covering the ECA and language plan, your profile, score work and the full PR application for you, your spouse and children. With one provincial nomination it is ₹1,19,999. You can pay in parts. Government fees are paid at cost.

  • No. PR is permission to live in Canada. The licence to practise comes from the provincial regulator and has its own exams and time. Every profession page here tells you what that path looks like, so you start it early instead of finding out after landing.
