Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains when and how you can cancel a service and obtain a refund of fees paid to Pro Lifeset Overseas Private Limited (“Lifeset Overseas”). It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service. In short: we stand behind the work we control — if one of our own standalone services doesn’t deliver what we promised, you get a full refund of that service fee, no questions asked. Your ₹199 Visa Possibility Report is fully refundable (or credited when you file with us). A visa refusal does not automatically trigger a refund, and government & third-party fees are non-refundable.

1. Our satisfaction promise

If you’re not happy with one of our own services, you get a full refund — no questions asked. This promise covers the work we control (the deliverables we prepare for you), not the government’s visa decision or fees paid to third parties.

We are confident in the quality of our consultancy. Sections 2–7 below set out exactly how this works for each kind of service, and Section 8 lists what we genuinely cannot refund because the money goes to someone else.

2. The ₹199 Visa Possibility Report

Our ₹199 Visa Possibility Report is fully refundable. If, after reading your honest assessment, you decide not to continue, we refund the ₹199 in full. If you go on to file with us, the ₹199 is credited towards your fee — so you never pay twice.

3. Service-specific guarantees

Each standalone service carries a clear promise. If we don’t meet it, we refund that service’s fee:

  • Document Review — if we miss a material issue in your file that we should reasonably have caught, we refund the review fee.
  • Mock Interview Prep — if we don’t cover the questions and areas we promised for your interview, we refund it.
  • SOP / Cover Letter Writing — if the rewrite doesn’t materially improve clarity against the brief, we revise again or refund it.
  • Appointment / Slot Hunter — if we don’t secure a slot at your chosen centre within the 30-day monitoring window, we refund the fee.
  • Missed deadlines — if we miss a delivery deadline we committed to in writing, and the delay is our fault, we refund that service’s fee.

4. Small-service fees are credited, not wasted

Any standalone “building-block” service fee is credited in full towards a full visa filing if you upgrade within 14 days — so it effectively becomes free and you only ever pay once.

5. Paid consultations

  • Your first 30-minute eligibility assessment is free, so no refund arises.
  • A detailed paid consultation may be rescheduled or cancelled for a full refund if you give us at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled time.
  • No refund is given for no-shows or for cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as the consultant’s time has been reserved for you.

6. Visa refusal — no automatic refund

A visa refusal does not entitle you to a refund of our Consultancy Fee. Our fee pays for the professional service of assessing, preparing and lodging your application — the decision itself rests solely with the visa officer, and nobody can guarantee it.

That said, we back our own work:

  • If a refusal is caused by a documentation error on our part, we refile your application at no additional Consultancy Fee.
  • Where we carried out a Refusal Analysis and missed a crucial problem that the embassy later identifies, we refund that analysis fee.
  • Government & third-party fees for any fresh application are payable again, as they are charged by those parties.

7. Cancelling a full visa filing

For a full done-for-you filing, you may cancel before your application is submitted to the visa post. In that case we refund the unused portion of your Consultancy Fee (work already completed is chargeable), or credit it towards a future service — your choice. Once the application has been submitted to the visa post, the professional service has been substantially performed and that Consultancy Fee is non-refundable, except under the guarantees in Sections 3 and 6.

8. Non-refundable components

The following are paid to third parties for separate services and are non-refundable through us once incurred:

  • Government and visa-post fees (e.g. IRCC application and biometrics fees).
  • VFS Global / AVAC service charges and appointment fees.
  • Medical examination fees and language-test (e.g. IELTS) fees.
  • Translation, notarisation and courier charges paid to third parties.

9. GST adjustment

Our Consultancy Fees include 18% GST. When a refund is approved, the GST component is refunded in the same proportion as the refunded fee, and we issue a revised or credit invoice reflecting the adjustment.

10. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are made to the original payment method through the same processor used for your payment — Razorpay for INR payments or Stripe for international card payments. We initiate eligible refunds within 7–10 business days of approval. The time for the refunded amount to reach your account depends on your bank or card issuer (commonly 5–10 business days, and sometimes longer for international or cross-border transactions). Any currency-conversion differences or bank charges are not within our control.

11. How to request a refund

Email info@lifesetoverseas.com — or message us on WhatsApp using the chat button on our website — with your case/invoice number and the reason for your request. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and to decide within 7 business days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer (below).

12. Chargebacks

Please raise any refund request with us first so we can resolve it quickly. Initiating a bank or card chargeback through Stripe or Razorpay without contacting us — particularly where work has been performed under this policy — may be treated as a breach of our Terms of Service and may result in suspension of the Engagement. We will provide service records to the processor to contest unwarranted chargebacks.

13. Grievance redressal
