Azerbaijan Business Visa — overview
The Azerbaijan Business Visa is for business visits — meetings, negotiations and business events. Many business travellers can use the ASAN e-Visa portal (evisa.gov.az), selecting the business purpose; others apply through the Embassy of Azerbaijan.
Alongside the standard documents, a business application is supported by an invitation from the host organisation in Azerbaijan. The route — e-Visa or embassy — depends on the length and nature of the visit.

Azerbaijan business e-visa for Indian nationals
Short business trips to Azerbaijan for meetings, negotiations and conferences use the same electronic visa system as tourism, selected with a business purpose and supported by an invitation from the Azerbaijani company. The Knowledge Base overview of the VFS Global e-visa channel applies: register on the portal, provide the details, upload the documents and pay online; the process "has no connection with Azerbaijani Embassies or Consulates".
Conditions to respect
- Apply on the passport you will travel with; the e-visa is invalid on any other.
- Passport valid for at least six months from arrival with at least one blank page.
- One individual e-visa per traveller; details must match the passport exactly and cannot be changed after processing.
What a business file adds
The invitation letter from the Azerbaijani host naming the purpose, dates and who bears the costs, your employer's letter from India, and the return ticket and accommodation. Longer or repeated business stays and any form of work require a work permit and temporary residence through the State Migration Service, which is a different route.
