Sunam · Licensed visa consultancy
Canada Super Visa help for parents and grandparents from Sunam, run from our licensed Patiala office
If your son or daughter has settled in Canada and your parents are stuck making a fresh six-month visitor visa every couple of years, the Super Visa is the route that changes that. It is a multiple-entry visa, valid up to 10 years, that lets parents and grandparents stay up to five years at a stretch. We build the two parts that actually decide these files — your host's income proof against the LICO and a genuinely compliant medical insurance policy — from our licensed Patiala office, about 64 km from Sunam.

For applicants in Sunam & nearby
Sunam — Sunam Udham Singh Wala, the birthplace of Shaheed Udham Singh — is a busy grain-mandi town in Sangrur district, and like much of this belt it has sent a whole generation abroad. Walk the streets around the anaj mandi and you will find household after household where the children are now in Brampton, Surrey or Calgary while the parents and grandparents remain here, seeing them only on short visits. The Super Visa exists for exactly these families: instead of a regular visitor visa that allows roughly six months at a time, it lets eligible parents and grandparents of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident live with their family for years. It is not a harder version of a tourist visa — it carries its own tests. Your child in Canada (the host) must meet a minimum income for their family size under the Low Income Cut-Off, and every applicant must purchase — not merely quote — medical insurance of at least CAD 100,000. We are not in Sunam; our only licensed office is in Patiala, near the PRTC Workshop on Nabha Road, about 64 km and a little over an hour away by road via the Patran side. Most of a Super Visa file is done over WhatsApp and email, and Pro Lifeset Overseas holds Punjab Government consultancy licence No. 849/DC/PTA/PLA/LC-3/2024, so your parents' case is handled on the record, not off a mobile number.
What we do for you
Handled end to end, by one consultant.
Confirm the host qualifies and meets LICO
Before you spend a rupee on insurance or a medical, we check that the child or grandchild inviting your parents is a Canadian citizen or PR, and that their income clears the Low Income Cut-Off for the family size — counting the visiting parents in that count. The exact figure moves with family size and is updated periodically, so we confirm the current number against your host's income and point you to the Super Visa income calculator rather than quoting a stale amount.
Draft the invitation letter and gather income proof
We prepare the host's signed invitation letter and assemble the Canadian income evidence that stands up to scrutiny — the CRA Notice of Assessment, T4 and employment letter or pay slips. For a Sunam family this is coordinated by WhatsApp with your child in Canada, so nobody has to travel to get the paperwork moving.
Get a compliant medical insurance policy in place
IRCC will not accept a quote — the policy must actually be bought, giving at least CAD 100,000 cover, valid at least one year from entry, covering health care, hospitalisation and repatriation. It can now be from a Canadian insurer or an approved insurer outside Canada. We help your family choose a plan that meets every one of these conditions so the file is not refused on an insurance technicality.
Book the immigration medical exam
A Super Visa needs an immigration medical exam done by an IRCC-approved panel physician — your regular Sunam doctor cannot do it. The nearest panel physicians are in the Chandigarh/Mohali area, and we time the exam so the results reach IRCC alongside the application rather than holding it up.
File the application and guide biometrics at VFS Chandigarh
One consultant completes the online application, uploads each document in the right place, and walks your parents through the biometrics appointment at the VFS Global centre in Chandigarh — the centre every Canada case from the Patiala–Sunam area uses. You always know who is handling the file.
Why Sunam applicants choose us
A licensed firm you can hold to account
Pro Lifeset Overseas is a Punjab-Government-licensed consultancy (Licence No. 849/DC/PTA/PLA/LC-3/2024) and a registered private limited company with a walk-in office in Patiala — not an unregistered agent. For elderly-parent files where a lot of money and travel is at stake, that accountability matters.
The two make-or-break parts done properly
Most Super Visa refusals come down to one of two things: the host's income falling short of the LICO for the family size, or an insurance policy that does not truly meet IRCC's rules. We concentrate on getting exactly these right before the file is submitted, instead of filing and hoping.
Punjabi-first, and comfortable for older applicants
Super Visa applicants are usually parents and grandparents who are most at ease in Punjabi. We explain the insurance, the medical and the forms in Punjabi, Hindi or English, and we run the whole thing remotely with Sunam families over WhatsApp so your parents rarely need to make the trip to Patiala.
What we do NOT do
We do not process work permits — that needs a separate MEA Recruiting Agent licence which we do not hold — and we do not run IELTS or PTE coaching. And no honest consultant can promise a Super Visa: the decision is IRCC's and the visa officer's alone. Anyone guaranteeing approval is not telling you the truth.
What your Super Visa file needs from Sunam and from Canada
- Proof your host is Canadian — the child or grandchild's citizenship certificate, PR card or Canadian passport
- A signed invitation letter from your child or grandchild in Canada, inviting the parent(s) or grandparent(s)
- The host's income proof for their family size under the LICO — CRA Notice of Assessment, T4 and an employment letter or pay slips
- A purchased medical insurance policy (not a quote): at least CAD 100,000, valid one year from entry, covering health care, hospitalisation and repatriation
- Completed immigration medical exam with an IRCC-approved panel physician in the Chandigarh/Mohali area
- Proof of the parent–child relationship — birth certificate or family records linking the applicant to the host
- The applicant's valid passport and any past travel history
- Confirmed biometrics appointment at the VFS Global centre in Chandigarh
We send you a tailored checklist for your exact case when you get in touch.
FAQs
- Is there a Lifeset office in Sunam?
- No. There is no Lifeset Overseas branch in Sunam, and we will not pretend otherwise. Our only licensed, walk-in office is in Patiala — Shop No. 2, near the PRTC Workshop, Nabha Road — roughly 64 km and a little over an hour by road. Almost the entire Super Visa file is handled remotely on WhatsApp and email; you only come to Patiala if a document review or a sit-down with elderly parents genuinely helps.
- Can you guarantee my parents' Super Visa will be approved?
- No, and you should be wary of anyone who says they can. The decision belongs entirely to IRCC and the visa officer reviewing the file. What we control is the quality of the application — a host income that clears the LICO, a compliant insurance policy, a proper medical and a clean, honest submission. We get those right and tell you frankly if the file is not yet ready to file.
- How much income does my child in Canada need to show?
- The host must meet a minimum income based on Canada's Low Income Cut-Off for their family size, counting themselves, their dependants and the parents or grandparents being invited. That figure changes with family size and is updated over time, so we do not quote a fixed number here — we confirm the current figure against your host's income and point you to the Super Visa income calculator to check it first.
- What medical insurance is required, and can we just get a quote?
- A quote is not enough — IRCC needs proof the policy has actually been bought. It must give at least CAD 100,000 in coverage, stay valid for at least one year from the date of entry, and cover health care, hospitalisation and repatriation. It can now come from a Canadian insurer or from an approved insurer outside Canada. We help your family pick a plan that meets every one of these conditions.
- How is a Super Visa different from a regular visitor visa for my parents?
- A regular visitor visa normally allows a stay of about six months per entry. A Super Visa is built specifically for parents and grandparents and allows stays of up to five years at a time on a multiple-entry visa that can be valid for up to 10 years. In return it adds three requirements a visitor visa does not: an invitation letter, the host income (LICO) test, and mandatory medical insurance. For families who want long, uninterrupted stays it is usually the better route.
- Do my parents have to travel from Sunam to Patiala for this?
- Rarely. We run the whole Super Visa process — eligibility check, invitation letter, income proof, insurance and application — over WhatsApp and email, coordinating with your child in Canada. The two in-person steps are outside Patiala anyway: the immigration medical exam in the Chandigarh/Mohali area and biometrics at VFS Chandigarh. A visit to our Nabha Road office is optional, for when a face-to-face review helps.
