For applicants in Patiala & nearby

Across the Malwa belt — Patiala, Rajpura, Nabha, Samana, Sanaur, Patran, Sunam, Sangrur and up to Cheeka and Pehowa on the Haryana side — countless families have a son or daughter settled in Canada while their parents stay back here on nothing better than a six-month visitor visa. The Super Visa is built precisely for these Punjab NRI families: it lets parents and grandparents live with their children for years at a time instead of a single short trip. At our ground-floor office near the PRTC Workshop on Nabha Road, a licensed consultant sits with you in person, checks your child's citizenship or PR status and income before you spend a rupee, and only moves the case forward once it genuinely qualifies — never on a false promise.

What we do for you

Handled end to end, by one consultant.

Eligibility & income check

We first confirm the child or grandchild inviting you is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and that their income meets the minimum for the family size (based on the Low Income Cut-Off, LICO) — using either of the two tax years before applying, per the 2026 rules — before you pay for insurance or a medical.

Invitation letter & income proof

We draft the host's signed invitation letter and assemble their CRA financial proof — Notice of Assessment, T4, pay slips, employment letter — so the income side of the file holds up under scrutiny.

Compliant medical insurance

We help you buy a policy that meets IRCC rules: at least CAD $100,000 in coverage, valid a full year from your date of entry, covering health care, hospitalization and repatriation — from a Canadian insurer or, since the 2025 change, a company outside Canada authorised by OSFI.

Immigration medical exam

We book your immigration medical exam with an IRCC-approved panel physician (the nearest are in the Chandigarh/Mohali area) and time it so results reach IRCC with your application — a family doctor cannot carry out this exam.

Filing & biometrics

One consultant completes the online application, uploads each document correctly and walks your parents through biometrics at VFS Chandigarh, the closest centre to Patiala.

Why Patiala applicants choose us

Licensed & accountable

Pro Lifeset Overseas is a Punjab-Government-licensed consultancy (Licence No. 849/DC/PTA/PLA/LC-3/2024), a registered private limited company you can walk into — not an agent working off a mobile number. Your parents' file is handled on the record.

One consultant, start to decision

A Super Visa file has moving parts — host income, invitation, insurance and the panel-physician medical. The same case manager coordinates all of it from the first assessment to the decision, so you always know exactly who to call.

Honest assessment, no false hope

We are documentation and refusal specialists, not an IELTS coaching shop. Most Super Visa refusals come down to a host income shortfall, non-compliant insurance, or an officer not satisfied the visitor will leave at the end of the stay — we get those details right before filing, and tell you honestly if the file is not yet ready.

Local & Punjabi-speaking

Many Super Visa applicants are elderly parents who are most comfortable in Punjabi. We sit with your family at our Nabha Road office and explain the insurance, medical and forms in Punjabi, Hindi or English — serving Rajpura, Nabha, Samana, Sanaur, Sunam, Sangrur, Chandigarh and Mohali.

What your Super Visa file needs

  • Proof the child or grandchild inviting you is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident — citizenship certificate, PR card or Canadian passport
  • The host's proof of income for the family size (based on LICO) — CRA Notice of Assessment from either of the two preceding tax years, plus T4 or pay slips
  • A signed invitation letter from your child or grandchild in Canada
  • Medical insurance — Canadian insurer or an OSFI-authorised company outside Canada, at least CAD $100,000, valid 1 year from entry, covering health care, hospitalization and repatriation
  • Immigration medical exam completed with an IRCC-approved panel physician
  • Proof of relationship — your birth certificate or family records linking you to your host in Canada
  • Your valid passport and past travel history

We send you a tailored checklist for your exact case when you get in touch.

FAQs

Super Visa vs visitor visa — which is better for my parents?
A regular visitor visa (TRV) normally lets parents stay up to six months per entry. A Super Visa is designed specifically for parents and grandparents and lets them stay up to five years at a time, on a visa that is multiple-entry and can be valid for up to 10 years. For families who want long, uninterrupted stays, the Super Visa is usually better — but it additionally requires an invitation, proof of your child's income (LICO) and Canadian-standard medical insurance, which a normal visitor visa does not. We assess both routes and recommend honestly.
What medical insurance is required for a Super Visa?
The policy must give at least CAD $100,000 in coverage, be valid for at least one year (365 days) from the date of entry, and cover health care, hospitalization and repatriation. It can be from a Canadian insurance company or, since the 2025 change, from a company outside Canada that is authorised by OSFI (Canada's federal insurance regulator). You must show proof of a purchased policy, not just a quote — though IRCC now lets you pay in monthly instalments. We help you pick a compliant plan so the file is not refused on an insurance technicality.
What income must my child in Canada show?
The child or grandchild who invites you (the host) must meet the minimum income — based on Canada's Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) — for their family size, counting themselves, their dependants and the parents/grandparents being invited. It is proven with CRA documents such as the Notice of Assessment or T4. In March 2026 IRCC eased these rules: a host can use either of the two tax years before applying, and in some cases a visiting parent's own recurring income (for example a pension) can help cover a shortfall once the host meets the base threshold. The exact LICO figure changes each year, so we check the current number against your host's income before filing.
How long can my parents stay in Canada on a Super Visa?
Up to five years per visit — this replaced the old two-year limit. The visa itself is multiple-entry and can be valid for up to 10 years (or until the passport expires). If your parents want to stay longer, they can apply from inside Canada to extend their stay by up to two more years.
Does my parents' age matter?
There is no maximum age to apply for a Super Visa, and age alone does not disqualify anyone. Older applicants and those with health conditions should simply be prepared for the immigration medical exam and must hold valid, adequate medical insurance — which is mandatory for every applicant regardless of age.
Do my parents need an immigration medical exam?
Yes. Because a Super Visa is for a long stay, every applicant must complete an immigration medical exam with an IRCC-approved panel physician — a family doctor cannot do it. For Patiala families the nearest approved centres are in the Chandigarh/Mohali area. We book and sequence the exam so the results are ready when IRCC reviews the application.
How long does a Super Visa take from Patiala?
Processing times vary with IRCC workload and season, so we never quote a fixed number. From Patiala the practical steps are gathering your child's income and invitation documents, buying compliant medical insurance, completing the panel-physician medical exam, and giving biometrics at VFS Chandigarh. We prepare the file to be decision-ready and avoid the back-and-forth that delays most cases. Remember that approval is always the visa officer's decision — no consultant can guarantee it.
