The Slovakia Business Visa is a short-stay Schengen visa (Type C) for business activity — meetings, conferences, training and business-related events — for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Alongside the standard Schengen documents, the embassy expects an invitation from the inviting Slovakia company or organisation and a cover letter from your Indian employer, both confirming your identity, the purpose, and the period and place of the stay.

Slovakia Schengen business visa from India

Business trips to Slovakia use the short-stay Schengen visa (type C), up to 90 days in any 180-day period with Slovakia as the main destination. The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in New Delhi applies the harmonised list of supporting documents for India; applications are lodged at VFS Global.

Documents specific to a business trip

The list requires an invitation from the inviting company or organisation and a cover letter from the applicant's employer. "Both letters must confirm, as a minimum: the applicant's identity; the purpose of the journey (meetings, conferences, training or business related events); the period and place of intended stay."

Documents for all applicants

Proof of the intended means of transport and itinerary, and a cover letter stating purpose, duration, accompanying persons, transport and accommodation.
Proof of accommodation for the whole stay, in each Member State visited.
Proof of financial means: an original stamped bank statement showing movements over the last three months and the income-tax return acknowledgement for the last two assessment years; employees add three months' pay slips, the employment contract and the employer's leave approval; company owners and the self-employed add the company registration with GST number, business bank statements and a barcode-verifiable tax return.
Copies of the passport's biodata page, last page, and previous Schengen entry and exit stamps.
