The UK Transit Visa lets Indian travellers pass through the United Kingdom on the way to another country. If transit is your only reason for coming to the UK, the Visitor in Transit visa is the right route — it costs GBP 74.50 and allows you to enter the UK and stay for up to 48 hours to make your onward journey.

You must show you are genuinely in transit: a confirmed onward journey, and the right to enter the destination country. If you also plan to do tourism or business in the UK, a Standard Visitor visa is the route instead.
