Visa help for Mohali's IT and corporate workforce
You work in an IT park in Mohali. You have a salary slip every month, a Form 16, and a manager who has to sign your leave. Your visa file should be simple. Yet corporate employees get refused too, and usually for one reason: the employment side of the file was rushed. A leave letter with the wrong dates. An NOC that does not say you are expected back. A salary that shows in the account but a designation on the form that does not match the letter.
Lifeset Overseas is a visa consultancy in Patiala, licensed by the Punjab government (Licence No. 849/DC/PTA/PLA/LC-3/2024). Mohali is about an hour from us. We do the file over WhatsApp and phone, in the evenings if that suits your shift, and you do not need to visit Patiala.
The two letters that decide a salaried file
For a visitor or short-stay visa, the officer wants to be sure you will come back to your job. Two letters prove it:
- NOC (No Objection Certificate): a letter from your employer saying they have no objection to your travel. A good one states your designation, joining date, salary and the fact that your job is held for you.
- Leave approval letter: it must state the exact dates of leave, and those dates must match the travel plan in the form and the tickets.
We give you a simple format for both, so HR can issue them quickly, and we check the dates against everything else before the file goes in.
One more thing salaried applicants forget: the bank statement should show the salary landing every month from the employer's name. If your pay comes through a different account, or part of it is paid in cash, tell us early so we can explain it in the file rather than leave the officer to guess.
Biometrics next door in Chandigarh
Mohali does not have its own visa centre, but Chandigarh is next door, and its VFS centres handle Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain and the UK. So the biometrics visit — fingerprints and photo — is usually a short trip during a lunch break. We book the slot. You attend once.
To be clear: we have no office in Mohali. Our only office is in Patiala. Everything before and after your Chandigarh visit is done remotely with one consultant.
What Mohali professionals apply for
Short trips are the most common: a visitor visa for a holiday in Europe, a conference in the UK, or a visit to a sibling in Canada. For a Schengen trip we advise which country to apply through based on where you will spend the most nights.
The second most common is the long-term move. Many Mohali engineers score well under Express Entry, Canada's points system, because of their age, degree and English. We calculate your points honestly before you spend on IELTS and credential assessment, and we tell you if the score is not enough. Other permanent residency routes for Australia and the UK follow the same logic.
Couples where one partner already holds a visa abroad apply under a dependent visa. And professionals going back to study — a master's in Germany or Ireland, for example — use a study visa file where a few years of work history actually helps.
One boundary: we do not process work permits or employer-sponsored visas. That needs a separate MEA licence, which we do not hold. If your company is moving you abroad, your employer's immigration firm handles that.
If a past application was refused
A refusal on a salaried profile usually comes from a mismatch: the form said one thing, a letter said another. We read the refusal letter for free, find the mismatch, and rebuild the file so every document agrees. See refusal recovery.
Check before you book leave
For ₹499, our Visa Risk & Approval Report reviews your file — employment letters, bank statements, travel history and purpose — and lists what an officer would question. It is quicker than losing leave days and an embassy fee. Details on the pricing page.
