Estonia Tourist Visa — overview

The Estonia Tourist Visa is a short-stay Schengen visa (Type C) for tourism and holidays, valid for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the Schengen Area.

Applications from India are submitted through VFS Global and decided by the Estonia embassy. Schengen-wide travel medical insurance of at least EUR 30,000 is mandatory, and the application turns on a clear travel plan, sound finances and genuine ties to India.

Lifeset Overseas builds the file to the embassy checklist so nothing is missing and the trip's purpose is clear.

Estonia Schengen tourist visa from India

The Embassy of Estonia in New Delhi decides short-stay Schengen visas (type C) for tourism, up to 90 days in any 180-day period with Estonia as the main destination. The Embassy's checklist states that the application "should be submitted at the local Visa Facilitation Centre VFS" after completing the online form at https://eelviisataotlus.vm.ee/.

The Embassy's tourist checklist

  • Passport issued within the last ten years, valid at least three months after the scheduled return, with at least two empty pages, plus old passports (or an FIR or proof of cancellation).
  • Application form completed and signed twice by the applicant; for a minor, signed by the legal guardian with apostilled proof of custody.
  • One photograph not older than six months, 35 × 45 mm, colour, white background, "no software corrections".
  • Travel health insurance valid in the Schengen area with at least EUR 30,000 coverage for the whole stay.
  • Proof of accommodation: hotel reservations, holiday rental or campus residence; if staying with family or a friend, the host's proof of sponsorship or private accommodation; accommodation in each Member State visited.
  • Proof of transport: return flight tickets and itinerary; the Embassy asks that you "do not buy tickets before obtaining the visa".
  • Proof of financial means, all originals on A4: the last three months' personal bank statements stamped and signed by the bank and the personal income-tax acknowledgement for the last two assessment years; employees add three months of salary slips and salary-account statements; the self-employed add business registration and three months of personal and business statements; the retired add pension evidence.

Why it matters

Going it alone vs filing with us

On your own

  • Guessing the document list — one missing or wrongly formatted paper triggers a refusal.
  • Generic cover letters copied from the internet that officers recognise and flag.
  • No read on peak rejection windows or what this visa post is strict about.
  • Government and VFS fees are non-refundable — money lost if you are refused.
  • A refusal stamp follows you and weakens every future visa application.

With Lifeset Overseas

  • An honest case assessment before you spend a rupee on government fees.
  • A file built to the embassy's exact checklist and in the exact order.
  • Weak finances, ties or purpose identified and fixed before submission.
  • Previously refused? We can rescue and rebuild the file.
  • Every case handled by one consultant, end to end.

Refused before?

A refusal isn't the end

A refusal is not a permanent bar — but it only improves if the actual reason is found and answered, and nobody can tell you a second application will succeed. If a Estonia visa has been refused, we:

  • Read the actual refusal letter and pinpoint the real gaps.
  • Advise whether to pull the officer's notes (CAIPS / GCMS) for the true reason.
  • Identify which part was weak — funds, employment, purpose or ties.
  • Tell you honestly whether to reapply now or strengthen the file first.
